Waynetown- William Alfred "Red" Stockdale, 63, a native of Waynetown died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday in Elkhart General Hospital, at Elkhart. He was a resident of Winamac. Before moving to Winamac several years ago, Mr. Stockdale was employed by the Wilkinson Lumber Co. of Waynetown. He was a member of the Lewisville Masonic Lodge and Winimac Presbyterian Church. In 1927 he graduated from Waynetown HS. Born Nov 28, 1909, at Waynetown he was a son of Truman S. and Maroa Martin Stockdale. He was married to Thelma Smith Nov 18, 1931. Surviving are his wife; his mother of Rensselaer; two sons, William of Elkhart and John of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Elpha Young of Waynetown and five grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at Winamac with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
